Graphic Designer (Part-Time)

Job Description

At Cain & Company, our Graphic Designers are here to make things look really good. Some days, that means building original layouts from scratch. Other days? You’re dropping content into templates, resizing graphics, or making sure print files are perfectly prepped and print-ready.

This role blends high-level design with practical production work – and we love someone who can do both with style. If you’re fast, detail-obsessed, and happiest when you’re deep in InDesign or fine-tuning typography, this is your zone.

Core Responsibilities

Design a wide variety of print and digital materials – including brochures, ads, tradeshow graphics, packaging, social graphics, internal communications, and web assets.
Execute design projects from start to finish, from initial sketches or layout concepts to polished, production-ready files.
Take creative direction and translate it into clean, consistent designs that align with client brand standards.
Work within existing brand systems and templates, while bringing fresh visual thinking to new projects.
Prep print and digital files with precision, following best practices and production specs.
Collaborate with our internal team (and occasionally clients) to make sure designs hit the mark and stay on schedule.
Manage multiple projects at once, staying organized and detail-focused in a fast-paced environment.
Keep up with design trends, tools, and techniques, and share new ideas when inspiration strikes.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.
5+ years of professional design experience (agency or in-house preferred).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Deep understanding of layout, typography, color, and branding principles.
A sharp eye for detail, and the ability to deliver pixel-perfect, print-ready files.
Experience working within brand systems, templates, and existing design guidelines.
Experience with video production is a major plus (but not a dealbreaker).
Bonus: familiarity with web and digital best practices, like preparing assets for dev, optimizing for social, or working with email templates.

You would be successful in this role if…

You have a passion for fresh creative concepts, smart design systems, and evolving tech.
You stay calm under pressure and can keep multiple projects moving without letting details slip through the cracks.
You’re self-sufficient when you need to be but thrive in collaborative spaces where ideas can bounce.
You keep everyone in the loop from start to finish because clear communication makes everything smoother.
You sweat the small stuff: kerning, alignment, pixel-perfect file prep, all of it.
You’ve worked in (or love working in) B2B, industrial, or manufacturing spaces.
You think critically, offer smart ideas, and explore new tools or trends when they make the work better.
